Check Point Earnings, Revenue, Billings Top Estimates

Check Point Software Technologies (CHKP) on Tuesday reported third quarter earnings, revenue and billings that topped Wall Street estimates. Check Point stock popped on the news.
The cybersecurity firm reported earnings before the market open. Check Point earnings in the September quarter rose 75% to $3.94 per share on an adjusted basis. Including acquisitions, revenue climbed 7% to $678 million.
Check Point Billings
Analysts expected Check Point earnings of $2.45 per share on sales of $673 million.
The cybersecurity firm said billings, a sales growth metric, rose 20% to $672 million, compared with consensus of $608 million.
In the current December quarter, analysts forecast EPS of $2.88 on revenue of $741 million. Check Point usually gives guidance on its earnings call with analysts.
Check Point Stock
On the stock market today, Check Point stock popped 10% to near 211 in early trading. Heading into the Check Point earnings report, CHKP stock was up 4% in 2025. Shares are set to regain their 50-day moving average and perhaps their 200-day line.
Check Point competes in the firewall network security market versus Palo Alto Networks (PANW), Fortinet (FTNT) and others. Firewalls block online intrusions and monitor web-based apps. Fortinet reports earnings on Nov. 5.
Palo Alto, meanwhile, plans to acquire CyberArk Software (CYBR) in a $25 billion deal.
Check Point and many other cybersecurity firms are focused on a new growth market: Secure Access Service Edge. SASE offers a fast and cost-effective way of securing an organization’s branch offices and remote workers.
CheckPoint Stock Technical Ratings
CHKP stock holds a Composite Rating of 64 out of a best-possible 99, according to IBD Stock Checkup.
In addition, CHKP stock holds an Accumulation/Distribution Rating of C-plus. The rating analyzes price and volume changes in a stock over the past 13 weeks of trading. A+ signifies heavy institutional buying; E means heavy selling. Think of a C grade as neutral.
The Computer Software-Security group ranks No. 90 out of 197 industry groups that IBD tracks. But some cybersecurity stocks, such as CrowdStrike Holdings (CRWD) and Zscaler (ZS) have outperformed the software sector in 2025.
